Playing Around with Wikis
I visited the http://oulibrarieslearn.pbwiki.com/wiki and added to the lists of favorites: blogs, books, videos, and a library photo. I don't have time to play around in the "sandbox" now since I have work to do. I will play around with this at home at a later time.
Wiki
I reviewed the wikis listed under this assignments' discovery evercise. I found a lot of information that would be very useful at work and at home.
SJCPL Subject Guides – a pathfinder wiki developed by the St. Joseph County Public Library system
Book Lovers Wiki - developed by the Princeton Public Library
Library Success: A best practices wiki
ALA 2006 New Orleans wiki – an example of a wiki created to support a specific event
The Bull Run Library wiki - a public library wiki and also a Learning 2.0 participant

Getting not-so-technical with Technorati
http://technorati.com
I found a lot of great search tools in Technorati. I know Technorati will be a very useful web site for me to use here at the library and at home. I will go back and review it in more detail when I have more time.

I know I will use the del.icio.us site . I searched and found a lot of interesting information that I will use for my job.
Discovery Exercise:1. Read the Del.icio.us help and introduction pages to get a good overview of its features.
2. Take a look around Del.icio.us using a Del.icio.us account created for the Public Library of Charlotte and Mecklinburg County. Note: In this account you will find lots of resources that have been highlighted or used throughout the course of the Learning 2.0 program.
I searched and found a lot of interesting information on how create an account.
I am always looking for a new venison recipes. I actually found a very interesting site designed by B & R Computer Logic that I tagged and marked. http://www.venison.com/

Rollyo
I thought the Rollyo site was very interesting even though I could not click into some sites. I did check out many sites listed to find feeds, but ended up using ones that I am familiar with.

Discovery Exercise: RSS /Bloglines Tutorial/Newsfeeds
I found this exercise to be very interesting. I learned how to subscribe to news sites and other interesting sites. I learned how to place important information in one location so that it can be reviewed quickly. I had a lot of fun with this exercise.
